How can I quickly test if my device is working?
You can test if your CSMP or LSMP device is functioning by pressing the user button located inside its case. This will cause your device to attempt to connect to Zenseio's servers and make a transmission according to the device's configuration.
NOTE: This only will work if the device is in range of a cellular tower for CSMP devices, or a LoRaWAN Gateway connected to the internet for LSMP devices.
NOTE: Old device firmware may cause functionality issues. We strongly recommend updating to the latest firmware version before proceeding. You can find the instructions for the
procedure here.
You can use the following methods to determine the device operation:
- Observe status lights
- Check Status tab on ZenConfig Mobile app
- Check the device status on Zenseio Online Dashboards (provided the device successfully connects to Zenseio servers)
- Review debug logs using ZenTerm (Windows or Mac) connected to LSMP/CSMP device
