After checking my device's status with the Zenseio Mobile App, I'm getting a "radio response error". What does this mean and how can I fix it?

The message “radio response error” indicates an issue with your device's cellular radio modem — the green square module at the top of the board. When your CSMP's radio modem appears to be unresponsive, a few common causes include:
Water or insect intrusion leading to corrosion on the connectors or board
Lightning strikes or other environmental factors
Dust or debris in the connector between the modem and the main board

As a first step, we recommend removing the modem and re-seating it (make sure to power down the unit before doing this). This may help clear any dust or improve contact in the connector. While the modem is removed, inspect the board for signs of corrosion (look for white discoloration on the PCB traces or connectors). If you do see corrosion, the modem may be damaged.

If you’re unsure, please take close-up photos of the modem and board and send them to us for evaluation.

You can follow this guide for instructions on removing and re-installing the modem. (You do not need to remove the SIM card or antenna connector.)
