CSMP SIM Replacement Instructions

  1. Slide the power switch of the device to “off” position

  1. Strap yourself to the earth ground to eliminate electrostatic discharge (for example metal case of a plugged in computer, or neutral pin of mains socket)

  1. Remove the screw from the radio module (green board with white sticker) with appropriately sized screwdriver

  1. Gently pull out the radio module and rotate it upside-down

  1. Slide out the SIM card from the socket

6. Push out the “micro” sized SIM card from the housing card. Micro size is the middle cutout, as shown with the red outline on the photo.

7. Insert the new SIM into the socket

8. Rotate the radio module back to its original position, align the screw hole with the mounting post hole and gently press it until you feel a snap.

9. Screw in the screw to secure the radio module. Do not overtighten.

10. Ensure that the antenna connector is still securely attached to the radio module. It should freely rotate horizontally. But not move vertically. If the connector is disconnected, align it with the antenna socket and gently press it into it until you feel a snap.

11.  After ensuring no components are loose, the power switch may be turned on now.
