I'm trying to update my Zenseio Device, but my computer doesn't detect it when its plugged in via USB, why is this?

When trying to update your Zenseio Device, it is common to encounter an issue where windows does not recognize the device at all. You may also see en error message:


"could not open port 'unknown': FileNotFoundError(2, 'The system cannot find the file specified.', None, 2) Check that no other application locked it. Aborting."

There could be a few reasons for this:
  1. USB cable is for power only. Please use the type of USB cable that has data sync capability.
  2. USB cable is defective. Try several different USB cables.
  3. Not having the proper USB driver installed. Please check the Driver Update Guide, or to learn more about updating your device refer to the Device Update Guide.
  4. The device's USB port is locked by another program, such as ZenTerm. In such case, disconnect the device from that program.
If you still are unable, to resolve this issue, contact Zenseio support.
