What types of GPI Sensors are compatible with Zenseio Devices?

Zenseio Devices can monitor many different types of commonly used sensors via GPI input: tipping rain buckets, pressure switches, pressure transducers/transmitters, flow meters, temperature sensors, and others. There are 3 independent general purpose inputs (GPI’s) that can be configured via the mobile phone app to read several types of analog and digital interfaces, with capabilities as shown in the table below.

Note there are some differences in capability between GPIs and plan your setup accordingly.  For example, if you want to configure your device to collect data from a level trigger, thermistor, and a 4-20mA current sensor like a pressure transducer, then you should reserve the GPI3 input for the Thermistor and the GPI2 input for the 4-20mA current sensor.

Note: Default GPI configuration is “Any Level Trigger” (activated on both rising and falling edges) for GPI1 and GPI2, and “Thermistor” for GPI3.

Default configuration for VAUX is 8V.

WARNING: if using sensors requiring different configuration than these factory-programmed defaults, VAUX and GPI settings have to be configured with Android app (as in Section 5) before connecting any sensors to the header or they may get damaged from overvoltage.
