Flow meter installation
Attention: The Flow Meter must be configured to the pulse counter output with calibrated flow rates, which may vary between flow meter models. Please refer to the Flow Meter's Manual for more information on how to do this.
Flow Meters that use Pulse Counting Output can be connected any GPI port: 1-3.
Note: Only Flow Meters with pulse count outputs are supported.
1. Select “Pulse Counter” mode in mobile phone configuration app for the selected GPI port.
2. Connect COM wire to GND.
3. Connect pulse counter output of the Flow Meter to the selected GPI header connector.
Note: Pulse Counter - a weak pullup voltage is supplied by device on a GPI input. Any
transition from this pullup voltage to 0V (a pulse) will be counted. The accumulated (totalized) count
will be transmitted at Transmit Intervals. This input has no debounce filtering
for maximum count frequency up to 1000 Hz, so the input must not have any glitches. If the glitches are expected and the input count frequency is very low, "Pulse Counter (debounce)" mode should be used. The pulse counting mode is
meant for open-collector type of flow meters, but it will also work with voltage pulses up to 26 VDC.
